MTAP/MAP Student Consulting Projects

Exciting opportunities are available within the Management & Technical Assistance Program (MTAP) for Nonprofits and the Management Assistance Program (MAP) for Small Businesses. University of Minnesota's Graduate and Professional students gain vital career experience and develop hands-on consulting skills while providing community outreach assistance to nonprofit organizations and small businesses.

Community Health Initiative

The Community Health Initiative will assist community-based nonprofit organizations and businesses that focus on addressing public health issues or disparities in underserved, socially and economically challenged communities.

The program funding will provide Scholarships and Community Internships to support graduate students - with special consideration for students of color - enrolled in the School of Public Health, the School of Social Work and the School of Medicine. This program will also provide funding for Student Consulting Projects, which are open to all University of Minnesota graduate students.

Comcast Cable Scholarship Program

The Comcast Cable scholarship fund will provide five $3,000 scholarships per year to support and enhance scholarship opportunities for students of color attending the University of Minnesota.  Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students enrolled in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Comcast Cable Internship Program

The Comcast Cable internship fund will provide three internships per year to full-time University of Minnesota undergraduate or graduate students.  These internships will offer full-time summer employment for students of color who are interested in working in telecommunications.
