The Office for Business & Community Economic Development (BCED) has partnered with IBM to create an upscale Computer Training Lab to help serve the technology needs and interests of Nonprofits and Small Businesses. Regardless of your occupation or skill level, computer literacy is rapidly becoming a necessity for advancement and career opportunities; as well as for building stronger, better performing organizations. Everyone can learn. It only takes the right instructor, the right material and an atmosphere for quality learning. We believe in active learning, and making the training relevant for the student, which is why our classes are small.

Our IBM Computer Training Lab offers:

  • 10 fully networked computers with high-speed Internet connections
  • 1 Instructor station with computer and projection screen
  • 1 network printer
  • Available software: Microsoft Office 2003/2007, Dreamweaver 8, Photoshop CS2, FrontPage 2003, Internet Explorer 7, Publisher 2003/2007, and Visio 2003
  • Training courses in the following areas: Accounting & Finance, Databases, Graphics, Internet, Microsoft Office, and Web Development. Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced sessions offered.
  • Lab rental is available ($75 per person or $500 per day)

Classes may be customized to fit your organizational needs. Please call Nam Nguyen at 612-624-8891 or e-mail for more information.
