Starting November 16, 2009, Global Entrepreneurship Week will connect young people everywhere through local and global activities helping them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Students, educators, entrepreneurs, non-profits, government officials and many others will participate in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face; from large-scale competitions to intimate networking gatherings.
Through this initiative, we aim to enable the next generation of entrepreneurs to emerge. In doing so, they will begin to acquire the knowledge, skills and networks needed to grow innovative, sustainable enterprises that have a positive impact on their livelihood and their community. Millions of young people around the world will join the growing movement of entrepreneurship, to seek better ways of doing things.
The University of Minnesota’s Office for Business & Community Economic Development (OBCED) is doing their part by sponsoring a multitude of programs including:
The OBCED is a registered partner of Global Entrepreneurship week, and will bring instructional expertise along with practical application from community entrepreneurs to bear with the wily enthusiasm of the budding future.
